you wait in line
stood waiting since bloody 9

for a kid
I spent a lot
lost all me money, I kid you not

bloody spent
all day outside
froze my wrinkled goosebumped hide

ate cold burgers
and saggy fries
shared unwillingly with stinky flies

the yelling and screaming
made me deaf
almost needed a bloody ref

wanted to go, not bloody stay
when does it end
this dreadful day…
